Molly Williams believes the art of everything is in the mix, and her path to founding Modish Company, a staging, design, and furnishings market in 2015 is no exception. She is a creative spirit at her core, never keeping things status quo and always seeking to find the story and personality of every home or space she encounters.

Molly’s personal design aesthetic is heavily influenced by the unique beauty of the surroundings of her childhood in the historic countryside of Waterford, Virginia. Raised by an interior decorator and a history lover who’s shared hobby was collecting antiques and traveling to historic sites, she developed a passion for beautiful interiors, unique furnishings and a love of the hunt from a young age. She has an unparalleled eye for incorporating modern pieces with the warmth of antique and vintage accents to create soulful and interesting interiors that people connect to and find comfort, function and beauty within.

Molly and her work have been featured by Brides, Country Home Magazine, South Park Magazine, and QC Exclusive.

A believer in taking a leap of faith, her decision to leave a corporate job and follow her passions led to success in a new career and empowered her as a female entrepreneur. With two beautiful children and a historic home they are renovating together in Concord, NC, Molly and her husband have built an amazing life not only personally but also professionally through partnering their businesses and have experienced what success truly feels like when you follow your dreams.

Matthew grew up in New York’s Historic Hudson Valley and after receiving his BA in Art History at the University at Albany he moved to New York City to complete his master’s degree in art business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. After school, Matthew started at Doyle Auction house on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where he spent 7 years immersed in the history of furniture, decorative arts, paintings, sculpture, drawings, and Asian works of art. Matthew moved on to work as the vintage art buyer at the ecommerce home decor website One Kings Lane, where he learned the innerworkings of running a retail website and the skill of online merchandising. A twist of fate brought Matthew to Charlotte, NC where he changed course to become a real estate agent, with the hope to also find something to feed his creative side.

A few short months later, Matthew and Molly met in 2015 at a real estate meeting where they became fast friends after discussing art, antiquing and interior design. Soon after, he joined Molly in the early days of Modish Company to become part of the perfect staging duo and later joined forces to assist her husband Charlie on their team at Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
